Are you looking to make a career out of creative writing? Come along to our webinar on Wednesday 17 February at 6pm to hear from three creatives who have forged successful careers as novelists, podcasters, bloggers, poets, and photographers. Join us and learn how to turn your dream into a reality.

Following on from our event on careers in journalism, our guests will discuss:

  • What inspired them and how they started out
  • What challenges they may have faced
  • What the key skills are and tips on how to develop them
  • How to write an effective pitch to publishers
  • How to self-publish

This will also give like-minded individuals a chance to meet, share ideas and inspire a whole new wave of influential writers.

There will be a Q&A session at the end for you to ask them any questions you may have.

Susie is a best-selling author having written a number of books including The Art of Creativity, with a front cover quote from David Lynch, Farmacy Kitchen cookbook, a plant-based food book for London restaurant Farmacy endorsed by McCartney family members, and Instructions for Happiness and Success, a book on manifesting and a handbook for managing your mind to be successful and peaceful.

Susie has worked in television producing shows for kids at The Children’s Channel, she was CEO and founder of her own celebrity PR agency in London and has looked after talent from Madonna, Michael Jackson and David Bowie to the Prodigy.

Susie was a celebrity PR guru for many years working around the world in London, NY and LA and running large music shows with MTV. She was head of publicity and press for programming at MTV Europe. Susie has psychology degrees, a BA, MA and MSc and has been a coach for over 15 years working with individuals and companies.

“G” is an anonymous “girl on the internet” who started blogging in 2011.

In that time, she has written two books, produced a lot of audio porn, hosted hundreds of guest blogs and lots more besides.

The blog’s primary purpose is to to challenge sex stigma, as she says on her blog page “Exposing myths is often the best way to tackle them. So that’s why I’m here.” The Blog became her full-time job about 5 years ago and she has informed us that there is a big project on the way.

Alicia Hayden
Alicia HaydenAuthor of Rain Before Rainbows
Alicia Hayden is a young wildlife poet, photographer, filmmaker and artist. She is now in her third year of Biological Sciences at the University of Oxford and has published her first wildlife poetry collection Rain Before Rainbows last September.

Her book aims to inspire people to act upon the climate and extinction crisis, whilst recognising the beauty of the natural world.

She has received numerous awards for her poetry and photography; these include being shortlisted multiple times by the British Wildlife Photography Awards and designated overall winner in 2016 by the Zoological Society of London. Through her work, whether it be poetry, photography, filmmaking or art, she manages to inspire people to protect and cherish nature by showing how fascinating and extraordinary it is.
