How to turn the skills you have, into the career and lifestyle you want

What:

Edu-venture Durham: Entrepreneurship and the Charity Sector

We’re delighted to welcome the Co-founder and Head of Education Outreach of the non-profit app now-u that launched in July 2020 with a mission to inform, involve and inspire people to help tackle some of the world’s most pressing environmental and social problems.

In this special webinar, we will discuss how students and recent graduates can bring innovation and entrepreneurship to the non-profit and charity sectors to solve key social issues. Lizzie and Amy from Now-U, graduates from Cambridge and Durham universities, will explore:

  • how they formed and developed their original idea
  • how they set up their app
  • how they’ve grown their organisation since
  • how you can get involved

This talk will give you insights into how you can start your own projects and make an impact in existing projects to tackle causes that matter to you.

Now-u is a platform to empower anyone to help tackle the causes they care about and support the charities working on the front lines of global issues. Now-u’s mission is to connect individuals with tangible and effective actions they can take to help tackle important issues through coordinated collective campaigns on their app and website.

We look forward to seeing you there!
