Our Speakers

Nikki Dravers
Nikki DraversFounder, REfUSE
Nikki set up REfUSE after graduating from Durham University with a degree in Natural Sciences.

REfUSE is a social enterprise run by staff and volunteers in Chester-le-Street. It functions as a community cafe, a food box scheme, a social supermarket, a catering business and an education project, as well as a food distributor for other charity partners. All the food that they collect and redistribute would otherwise have been sent to landfill by supermarkets and food retailers.

Nikki will be sharing some of the impacts that REfUSE has made through problem solving on a local and system level, and mixing enterprise with charity in an empowering way.

Claudia Gwinnutt
Claudia GwinnuttFounder, Circla
After completing her Geography degree at Bristol University, Claudia worked at Barclays for nearly a decade. In 2019 she started Circla which she describes as the traditional milkman service reimagined for beauty.

Circla provides a refillable service for independent sustainable beauty and personal care products.

Claudia will be sharing the social impact of sustainable beauty and sharing her experience with transitioning from a corporate career into a more independent, fulfilling career path.
