Careers Beyond the Ordinary

How to turn the skills you have, into the career and lifestyle you want

What:

Science and Sustainability Panel Session

Sustainability and related issues will be critical to all our lives and careers no matter what path we follow, and, as a career path itself, sustainability will only keep growing, with jobs in a range of areas from research and conservation, to journalism, consultancy, green finance, and environmental law.

In partnership with the Imperial EcoSoc, we’re welcoming five panellists each working in a different area of sustainability to discuss their career journey and what it really means to work on sustainability issues. The discussion aims to give you the tools to pursue a career in sustainability and will cover:

  • What sustainability means to them
  • Why their work is important and how they measure its impact
  • How to get into careers in sustainability
  • What the future of sustainability may be

There will be time included for students to ask questions to the panelists. This session focuses on displaying the variety of jobs within the sustainability sector and to give some tips on getting a job within sustainability.
